Food Grade Household Aluminum Foil Jumbo Roll 8011
works well in some cooking processes but not so well in all others. It's a material that can cause sparks and arcing when cooking eatings in the microwave with chunks, so be extremely careful if you use foil in any way while cooking in the microwave. In some microwaves it is possible to cover only a small surface area with a small amount of material, but this is generally not recommended unless it has been tried and done successfully before.
Do not line the bottom of the oven on the kitchen stove with foil to catch spilled eatings. Food Grade Household Aluminum Foil Jumbo Roll 8011 has excellent reflective properties, but can have adverse reactions when used in an oven, as the properties of alu foil can cause uneven heating in the oven, damaging not only the eatings but the stove as well.

Alu foil usually has a matte and glossy side, which is present during the material's manufacturing process. Usually, when preparing or storing eatings, neither is significantly better than the other during cooking, packaging, covering or lining. However, since there is a dark side and a shiny side, and since the shiny side is a better reflector of heat or cold, there may be some value in using each side accordingly when cooking or storing eatings
It's just that the difference in value is small and may not be noticeable. That said, since the glossy side of the foil reflects heat better, wrap eatings to be refrigerated with the glossy side facing out so that warm temperatures are reflected off and away from the wrapped eatings .Similarly, if an item is being cooked, it may slow down the cooking process slightly if the shiny side is on the outside of the item, causing heat to be reflected.Or, if you want to keep the wrapped eatings warm, wrap the dark side of the eatings out so the heat reflects back into the eatings from the bright side.
