Aluminum Foil Insulation Roll For Cable 8011 Alloy
The outer surface of the cable must be wrapped with a layer of aluminum foil for protection and shielding. This type of aluminum foil is usually made of 8011 grade industrial grade aluminum. After continuous casting and rolling, cold rolling, slitting, and complete annealing, it is divided into small coils according to the length required by the user and sent to the cable film composite system. The surface of the aluminum foil is covered with plastic. The film is cut into several small strips and transported to the cable factory in rolls.
The cable foil is made by pasting special plastic foil (0.058mm thick) on the top and bottom of aluminum foil with a thickness of 0.15mm-0.20mm. There are two fastening methods: dry fastening and wet fastening. The dry method uses high temperature (200℃) roll pressing method to coat the film; the wet method uses glue. Currently, most of the drying methods are used. After the plastic foil is attached, use a special instrument to tear off the aluminum foil from the aluminum foil to determine the degree of adhesion of the plastic foil. These measurement data are very important and are called peel strength. According to the communication cable industry standard (code YD/T723.2-94), the strength should be no less than 6.13 N/cm²; in addition, the heat sealing strength should be no less than 17.5 N/cm². The surface quality of aluminum foil is the main factor affecting the peel strength. The main problems of surface quality are oil stains, corrosion and excessive oxidation.
The cable film takes advantage of the air tightness and shielding performance of aluminum film, and is covered with plastic film on one or both sides to form an aluminum-plastic composite film, which is used as a cable shielding layer. The cable foil must have some oil on the outside, no holes, and high mechanical properties. Generally speaking, the length of aluminum foil cable is extremely strict.
