Today I will introduce a product commonly used in daily life: aluminum foil tape. Scotch tape and cloth tape are commonly used in daily life. There are mainly two commonly used aluminum foil tapes, one is 8011 and the other is 1235. The alloy materials of the two are different, so what is the difference between them?
The alloy composition of these two products is different, and the process is also different. But their temperature requirements during annealing are different. The annealing temperature of 1235 is relatively lower than that of 8011, but if you compare the annealing time they require, the time used is basically the same.
They are also divided into soft state and hard state, namely H18 state and O state. The production process of H18 does not require annealing, but sometimes requires drying. Soft tapes need to be annealed to make their properties softer. Most people use 1235/O alloy aluminum foil tape.
This kind of tape is divided into single-sided light and double-sided light, and single-sided light generally requires the bright side to face outwards. Single-sided flattening requires separation, coiling, and rolling, and rolls need to be replaced multiple times; while the rolling process with double-sided polishing is relatively simple. Thick materials can be directly punched into finished products without changing rolls. If the material is thin, the reel needs to be replaced and the production process is longer.
