6 Micron Aluminium Foil

An alu foil is a very thin sheet of aluminum ranging from about 0.006 mm thick to the ISO specified upper limit of 0.2 mm (200 µm). It is produced by hot rolling (hot rolling) ingots into coils with a thickness of between 2 and 4 mm. The coils are then successively cold rolled to the desired foil thickness. A second method of foil rolling, continuous casting, bypasses the ingot stage and turns the molten metal directly into a thick strip that is immediately rolled into the coil from which the foil is then rolled.

To obtain very thin wafers, two layers are rolled at once. This "double rolling" results in the difference between the two surfaces - matte and polished - the matte side being the inner side during double rolling. Then two layers of alufoil are separated. The resulting large spools are cut to the required width for further processing for the desired end use - flexible packaging, foil containers, packaging foil, household foil, heat exchanger foil, foil for thermal insulation materials, etc.

Brand owners and retailers now offer coffee and tea for every occasion in both individual and family packs. In the workplace, in catering outlets and distribution points "on the go" covering every moment. Instant coffee preparations to specialty varieties for coffee shops, filter machines, and espresso machines, as well as single-serve systems, add to the many consumer choices. This versatility, along with the need to protect the product, has resulted in a large number of 6 Micron Aluminium Foil being produced.
