20 Micron Jumbo Food Grade Aluminium Foil Rolls
Aluminum foil is produced by rolling a slab cast from a molten aluminum billet and then re-rolling it to the desired thickness on a sheet and foil rolling mill, or by continuous casting and cold rolling. In order to maintain a constant thickness during the aluminum foil production process, beta radiation passes through the aluminum foil to the sensor on the other side.
A certain amount of lubrication is required during the rolling stage; otherwise, the foil surface may have a herringbone pattern. These lubricants are sprayed on the surface of the foil before passing through the rollers. Basic lubricants are usually used, but oils approved for food contact must be used in food packaging foils.
Aluminum will be work hardened during cold rolling and in most cases will be annealed. The aluminum foil roll is heated until it becomes soft and can be kept at temperatures up to 340 °C (644 °F) for 12 hours. During the heating process, the lubricating oil is burned off, leaving a dry surface. The aluminum foil roll is then cut into smaller rolls on a slitter rewinder. Roll slitting and rewinding are an important part of the finishing process.
Food preparation: Aluminum foil is a "double oven" and can be used for convection oven and fan-assisted oven. A popular use is to cover thinner parts of poultry and meat to prevent overcooking. The U.S. Department of Agriculture also provides recommendations on restricting the use of aluminum foil in microwave ovens.
Insulation: Aluminum foil has high reflectivity and is widely used for heat insulation, heat exchange and cable lining. Backing building insulation materials not only reflect heat, but also provide a protective vapor barrier. It is also widely used in geochemical laboratories to provide a barrier for geochemists and sample storage. Some aluminum foil products can recover about 5% of the original energy cost.
Aluminium Foil Jumbo Roll In Meters Aluminum is used for packaging because of its high degree of ductility: it can be easily converted into a sheet and folded, rolled or packaged
