Pinhole. Pinholes are the main disadvantage of aluminum foil. According to the original guess, the dust on the roll, in the rolling oil, and even in the air will cause pinholes when the dust reaches 6um or so and enters the roll gap. Therefore, it is impossible for 6um aluminum foil to have no pinholes. You can only use the number and size to evaluate it. because pinholes are usually The fall of material shortcomings makes it difficult to find the corresponding relationship with the original shortcomings. It is generally believed that pinholes are primarily related to gas content, doping, compound and component segregation. The use of useful aluminum liquid purification, filtration, and grain refinement all help to reduce pinholes. Of course, the use of alloying and other methods to improve the hardening characteristics of the material can also help reduce pinholes. The pinholes of 6um aluminum foil rolled with high-quality hot-rolled materials can be less than 100/㎡. When the cast-rolled material is well purified, the 6pm aluminum foil pinholes are less than 200/㎡. In the aluminum foil rolling process, there are many other elements that constitute pinholes, or even catastrophic.Effective filtration of rolling oil, short-term roll change and dust prevention methods are all necessary conditions to reduce pinholes in aluminum foil. The use of high rolling force and low tension rolling will also help to reduce pinholes.
Vibration marks. Vibration marks refer to the periodic transverse waves on the surface of the aluminum foil. There are two reasons for the occurrence of vibration marks: one is formed during roll grinding, with a period around 10-20mm; the other is due to discontinuous oil film forming oscillations during rolling, which often occurs in a speed range with a period of 5 ~10mm. The basic reason for the occurrence of vibration marks is the lack of oil film strength, which can usually be eliminated by improving the smooth condition.

Tension line. When the thickness reaches below 0.015mm, the aluminum foil will form parallel stripes longitudinally, commonly known as tension lines. The distance of the tension line is around 5-20mm, the smaller the tension, the wider the tension line, the more obvious the stripes.  The smaller the thickness, the greater the possibility of tension lines. The possibility of tension lines during double rolling is greater than that of single sheets. Increasing tension and roller roughness is an effective way to reduce and eliminate tension lines. Large tension must be based on excellent plate shape.
